First, you must remove the motor assembly from the antenna. (Sorry, I don't have pictures of that procedure yet). However, to do this, remove the four large brass screws on the bottom of the antenna. remove the large brass mounting plug from the bottom. This will have grease on it. Don't clean this off since it keeps the inside of the tube safe from oxidation. Then, remove the two screws on the cap of the rain shield. This will allow the clear rain shield to drop out of the way. Now, loosen the set screws on the coupling ring with an allen wrench. Remove the ring from the tube and let it hang on the coil. You don't need to remove it off over the coil. Now, remove two screws about half way up on the antenna tube. These ones hold the motor inside the tube. At this time, the complete coil, screw shaft and motor with wires can be pulled out the top of the antenna tube.

This is the HS-1500 Motor. You will have to remove the screw shaft held by a cotter pin.

|
Drill the top of the motor with a 1/4" bit. Only drill down until the drill enters the small
hole on the side of the motor.

|
Install the sensor into the hole on the top of the motor.
Run the wires out the existing hole on the side of the motor.

|
With a file or Dremel tool, cut a groove down the side of the motor.
This will allow passage of the sensor wires down the side of the motor once the
motor is put back into the antenna. Hold the wires in place with a strip of electrical tape.

To install the magnet, use cable ties, and install as shown. When complete, some Silicone glue
will help hold everything in place.
